Terms
Last updated 2 August 2026
These are the terms for using Paw Diary. By creating an account you agree to them. They are meant to be readable, which is not the same as being informal — they are the actual terms.
Who you are agreeing with
Paw Diary is operated by [legal entity name], [registered address]. In these terms “we” means that company and “you” means the person or business with the account.
What the service is
Paw Diary is software for running a dog walking business: a diary, client and dog records, recurring bookings, invoicing and a portal for your clients. It is a tool for keeping records and organising work. It does not provide insurance, legal advice, accountancy advice, or any assurance about the people you work with.
Your account
- You need to be at least 18 and running or starting a dog walking business.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Anything done through your account is treated as done by you.
- The information you put in must be accurate, and you must be entitled to hold it.
Your clients' information
You are responsible for the personal information you enter about your clients and their dogs — for having a proper reason to hold it, for it being accurate, and for answering your clients if they ask about it. We store and process it on your behalf, as set out in our privacy notice. Do not enter anything you do not have a legitimate need for.
Free plan, trial and subscription
- Every new account starts with a 14-day trial with all features and no client limit. No payment details are needed and you are not charged when it ends.
- The free plan allows up to 3 active clients, with every feature included. Archived clients do not count.
- Pro costs £9.99 per month including VAT, and removes the client limit.
- Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from the billing page and keep Pro until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not give partial refunds for part months.
- If a payment fails, we email you and your account continues unchanged for seven days while you sort it out.
- If your subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Clients above the free limit become read-only — you keep access to their records, history and invoices, and can still invoice them, but cannot create new bookings for them until you subscribe again.
- If we change the price, we will tell you at least 30 days beforehand, and anyone already subscribed keeps their existing price through the first increase.
What we ask of you
Do not use Paw Diary to break the law, to store information you have no right to hold, to send anyone unsolicited marketing, or to attempt to access another account's data. We may suspend an account that does.
Availability
We work to keep the service running and available, but we do not promise it will never be down. Maintenance, supplier outages and faults happen. We do not offer a guaranteed uptime level, and we recommend you are not wholly dependent on any single system for something as time-critical as a day's walks — the app keeps today's round on your phone partly for that reason.
Your data, and getting it back
The information you put in remains yours. You can ask for a copy at any time. If you close your account we delete your data within 30 days, other than records we must keep by law.
Liability
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited. Beyond that, we are not liable for lost profit, lost business or indirect losses, and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
You remain responsible for your own business: for turning up to walks, for the care of the dogs, for your insurance, and for your own tax and accounting. Getting a booking or an invoice wrong in the app does not transfer that responsibility to us.
Ending it
You can stop using Paw Diary whenever you like and close your account from your settings. We may end an account that breaches these terms, and where it is reasonable to do so we will give notice and a chance to put it right first.
Changes to these terms
If we change anything that materially affects you, we will email you at least 30 days beforehand. Continuing to use the service after that counts as accepting the change.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
